HOW WE TACKLED THE BRIEF GIVEN TO US

Brief

GET FIT BY PETE came to us requesting a full website redesign and upgrade, and a targeted Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) campaign. His original site was built on a basic Squarespace template and had very little elegance and attraction for their intended audience.

Pete asked Journey Digital how we could create a more stylish and interactive website, incorporating his blogs and exercise video library. He also wanted to keep his current training session booking system and add a way for his clients to request Remote Coaching and Sports Massage appointments.

His digital requests were:

  • Complete website overhaul and upgrade

  • Create a logo

  • Include a video library
  • Build a better way for clients to communicate, connect and book sessions

  • Optimise the new website to be found better

Deliverables

For GET FIT BY PETE, we wanted to give his new website a raw, strong and industrial feel. So we chose the Avada Website Design Fitness Theme to construct the new WordPress website and a colour pallet utilising darker shades and tones. We also wanted to create a new and ‘punchy’ logo that incorporates his title letters and “kind of looks like a boxing glove from the side”.

Creating for him a new video library, appointment request forms and lots of CTA’s (calls to action), delivers a powerful website that encourages clients to remain on his website longer and boosts his SEO rankings.

Results

GET FIT BY PETE was launched in March of 2022 to strong and receptive audience response, especially amongst his current user base.

Initial feedback suggests that users are very comfortable with the new custom appointment request forms, they are liking the new video library (with a 40% increase in watched video metrics), and general user website interest has increased also (up 10% overall site dwell time).

Plus, the received comments on the look of the new theme are extremely positive.

With this toned, tightened and fit new website and a focus on new and attractive content creation (both articles and video), the GET FIT BY PETE brand could definitely find itself being an authoritative voice within the fitness industry.
